Early pregnancy signs (or not)?

When you're TTC, things can get a little crazy and make you LOL while you're waiting for that BFP.

I'm currently about 10 DPO but trying to wait until I'm at least 12 DPO until I test so I don't get a BFN. I'm expecting AF Sunday. Well, sorta expecting.

When I was pregnant with Lil' J, before I tested I had a crazy suspicion because there was a lot of EWCM (update: don't google it). I'm sorta noticing that this time too. But I've had false alarms before. So who knows!

Are you following? If not, here's a translation guide.

Ok, I'll speak English for the rest of this post.

Another sorta-sign?

Lil' J climbed on me last week and said "baby?"
I looked at her and said "Yes, you're my baby."
She looked back and me, shook her head and said "No. Baby," and pointed to my tummy.

I think this could mean one of a few things:
A. She remembered my friend's pregnant belly, us pointing to it and saying "baby", showing her one was inside. Which also could mean...
B. I'm getting fat. or...
C. I'm pregnant.

That's not all. Yesterday I had a complete and utter breakdown out of no where.

I got home from having lunch with Lil' J and a friend. When I walked in my husband was doing the dishes. I was going to do the dishes. He had just woken up from sleeping after his long shift at work. Did he think I couldn't do the dishes like I have been the last couple of weeks? Now he wants to help? None of these thoughts were logical but I was agitated and went off out of no where.

The next several minutes are a blur but I remember throwing out phrases like "you're always sleeping" and "But you make time for the gym!"

And the next thing I know I'm sitting on the floor in the office, unpacking some random box of tape, CDs and batteries, and sobbing hysterically. You know, like when you were a kid and you just got the biggest butt whoopin and you can't talk straight for half-an-hour cause you keep gasping/hiccuping for air?

No? Just me? Well anyway I was all:

"I...*gasp*... just... want... to... *gasp*... spend... more... time... with... you *sigh*." At the same time I was saying this I was having an outer-body experience looking at myself, shaking my head and laughing 'lady what is wrong with you?' "And... *gasp*... I ... feel... like ... you... *gasp* don't like me. *sigh*"

By this time my husband set the dishes aside and came to see who I was and what I did with his wife. ... Apparently I had given her a butt whoopin.

The discussion ended as quickly as it started as did the waterworks. I actually don't even remember exactly why I was so mad.

So, now I'm thinking there are a few possible answers.

A. Sleep deprivation. I was working on a project for 28 hours and had only slept 2 hours the night before.
B. I'm pregnant.
C. All of the above.

Guess I'll know Fridayish. Ack!

Baby #2?: He says/ She says

All of a sudden I'm baby crazy. There's no question, I'm ready for another.

I haven't been able to hide my excitement. I've been telling my friends, my mom, sister-in-law, and now my mom-in-law. Hi mom! ... Don't tell your son I'm writing this.

Lil' J is almost two and I really REALLY want my children to be less than three years apart if I can help it.
I've been containing my realization from my husband for a few weeks, I wanted him to finish his finals and feel de-stressed before dropping the bomb on him.

Well, as of last week... Bomb dropped.

I mentioned he third bedroom in our new place we're moving into next month as a second nursery and that was a bad idea. I switched gears and avoided shattering his dreams of a man-cave.
It went something like this the first few times:

She says: "Don't you want another?"
He says: "Another what?"
She says: ...

Second try

She says: "Now that you've got all this training out of the way we should have another baby, it's perfect timing."
He says: "I thought we were going to wait another year or two?"
She says: "No way, I want them closer in age than that."
He says: "I don't want to talk about this right now."

Next try

He says: "[Our daughter] is crazy."
She says: "It's cause she's spoiled, she needs a younger sibling."

Yet another subtle hint

She says to Lil' J: "Don't you want a little brother or sister?"
Lil' J says: "Yea."
He says: [Laughs] "She says yes to everything." (Directed to Lil' J): "Do you want us to wait a couple year?"
She says: "SAY NO, SAY NO!"
Lil' J says: "Noooo."

And again the next night

Lil J says: "Kiss"
He says: "What did she say?"
She says: "She said kids, awww, you want a baby brother?"
Lil' J says: "Yea. Baby"

Then finally getting serious

She says: "Really, what are you waiting for."
He says: (Nothing that really makes sense).
She says: "Let's think about the best and worse case scenario... Everything is going to work out."
He says: "The absolute soonest would be three to four months from now."
She says: "Ok... I can live with that."

A few minutes later...

She says: "What if a month from now you are feeling great and confidant, then will you change your mind?"
He says: "Maybe. I'll tell you what, if I do, I'll let you now."

I know that won't happen so some friendly check-ins and frequent reminders will still be in place. After all he went from two years to three months in a matter of days. This was way better than the convincing it took the first time around. He'll be on my timeline in no time.

I'm not ashamed of my persistence. Some people just need a little encouragement. Besides, who can say they don't want another kid as cute and fun as the first?

"All eyes on me in the center of the ring just like a circus!"

I couldn't get that song out of my head up until we went. That, and songs from the Yo Gabba Gabba Circus episode. I guess I thought the more I exposed her to songs relating to the event she'd get what was going on when we got there. I'm weird.

It's a whole new world, looking through the eyes of my daughter. When I noticed a free ticket to the Piccadilly Circus stapled to her daily sheet at school I couldn't resist. It was as if SHE was asking me to take her there.

So I did.

I read some reviews about the circus before heading out and got worried I wouldn't like it so much. I had been to Barnum and Bailey before; years ago with my husband. But we had such bad seats it was hard to see. This one stuck out to me because it was open seating, so if we got there early enough we could get front row seats. They were coming on a Monday and Tuesday which coincided with my days off.

My husband had to work (and I knew he probably wouldn't want to come) so I got tickets for the earlier show time and invited a good friend of ours and her little girl to come with us. After she said yes, I felt guilty and asked my husband if he wanted to come. I pretended to beg to make sure he didn't want to go before letting him know he couldn't anyway. I'm evil.

When we arrived we went straight to the petting zoo. I bought some food for the animals and let Lil' J at it. She tried to feed me, instead of the llamas but after watching me feed them she seemed to realize how it was done. Boy did they love her! And she loved them. I have a fearless child. I'm not sure if that's good or bad.

We sat down on the front row and watched the elephant go back and forth in front of us as people took their elephant rides. I debated taking her on it but we ended up missing our chance.

I kept telling her "Elephant! Look at the elephant!" And she'd look in the direction of it. She caught on pretty quick.

Then one time, all of a sudden we look over and the elephant's trunk is coming over the side bar to say hi! It was the craziest thing. Her trainer brought her over to say hi. I helped Lil' J pet it but she wasn't too sure what to think. I assume she preferred watching Dumbo's mom from afar. The look on her face seeing that, in itself made the trip worth it.
During the show there were motorcycles in a ball, clown shows, juggling and balancing acts, and two more elephants doing some tricks. It was cute.

You can tell from the pictures she had a blast, and slept well that night. So did I. Just another fun experience for the memory books, and to cross of my list before baby #2. We're on a roll.
